Nadia Nerina (born 21 October 1927) is a retired South African ballerina. She was born Nadine Judd and only began taking ballet lessons because of her weak feet.[1]

[edit] Biography
Nerina was born in Cape Town. In 1945, she began training under Marie Rambert at the Ballet Rambert before moving to the Sadler's Wells Ballet School. In 1946, she joined the Sadler's Wells Theatre Ballet. She became a prima ballerina in 1952. In 1960, she appeared as a guest artist with the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow and the Kiev Ballet in Leningrad. She retired at the age of forty in 1969.
