"My Jamaican Guy" is the first single from Grace Jones' album Living My Life. Her 3rd and last album recorded in the famous Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas.

The song was released in various remixed forms and was a sizeable hit in 1983. It was also featured in her groundbreaking video A One Man Show, in which Grace kisses her own image.

The 12" version of the song was a medley with J.A. Guy (a dub version of the original song), and the B-side is a superior version of "Cry Now, Laugh Later". Both still unreleased on CD.

The iconic image on the single cover was created by Jean-Paul Goude. A cheap version of it was later used as a cover of her final "best of" compilation to date; see The Ultimate Collection.
