MV Oceana (formerly Ocean Princess) is a modified Sun class cruise ship which began operation in February 2000.

Operating for Princess Cruises, Ocean Princess entered service on February 16, 2000. During the summer season, Ocean Princess was positioned in the Southern Caribbean, while in winter, the vessel operated in Alaskan waters.

In November 2002, Ocean Princess was transferred to P&O Cruises. The vessel entered operation in May 2003, after participating in a renaming ceremony with sister ship Adonia, and presided over by Zara Phillips, the daughter of Princess Anne. The time in between acquisition and launch was spent reconfiguring the vessel to open up an additional deck for passenger use, resulting in a corresponding increase in passenger capacity from 1,950 to 2,016.
In summer, the vessel sails from Southampton in the United Kingdom to the Mediterranean and Scandinavia. In the northern winter, Oceana berths in Barbados; sailing through the Caribbean and to Central America.
During the 2 week period of 28 March 2008 - 11 April 2008, Oceana underwent a refit at Meyer Werft shipyard as part of the P&O Cruises Elevation programme. The extensive refit included Winners bar and the Monte Carlo Casino merging to become one venue; Winners. The on board photo gallery has also been improved and divided into separate areas. Starlights, a show lounge, has also benefited from the refit, as has the gym which now includes interactive mountain bikes. The cabins have received similar treatment to that of other P&O ships and now have Slumberland mattresses and Egyptian linen. The Cafe Jardin menu has been enhanced to reflect French cuisine by Marco Pierre White.[3]

Onboard entertainment includes the Stadium Theatre Company who perform a variety of dance theatre shows including "Freddie" and "Summer Sunshine."
