Musashi-Itsukaichi Station

Musashi Itsukaichi Station (武蔵五日市駅, Musashi Itsukaichi-eki^?) is the terminus of the JR East Itsukaichi Line. Located in Akiruno, Tokyo, Japan, the station has a single island platform, above ground level, for boarding trains heading toward Haijima Station on tracks on both sides. JR East operates the station. Facilities within the building include a Midori no Madoguchi, automatic machines for selling and taking tickets, and a convenience store. The station has north and south exits. During 2004, Musashi Itsukaichi served a daily average of 4,809 passengers.

• 1925: Opened as Itsukaichi Station on the Itsukaichi Railway
• 1925: Changed name to Musashi Itsukaichi Station after 41 days
• 1925: Extension of line to Ōguno and Musashi Iwai Station opened
• 1940: Itsukaichi Railway merged with Nanbu Railway
• 1944: Nanbu Railway nationalized during war; joins Japanese Government Railways (later Japanese National Railways or JNR) system
• 1961: Line electrified (Haijima - Musashi Itsukaichi - Musashi Iwai)
• 1971: Segment from Musashi Iwai to Ōguno abandoned; passenger service terminated on segment from Ōguno to Musashi Itsukaichi
• 1982: Segment from Ōguno to Musashi Itsukaichi abandoned
• 1987: JNR privatized; JR East assumes ownership of line and station
• 1996: Station elevated.
