I have noticed that you have recently created several articles that contained nothing other that a {{stub}} template. These articles are candidates for speedy deletion under criteria A1 (Very short articles providing little or no context). If you do not have any information on the subject of the articles you are creating but are instead looking for someone else to flesh out an article on the subject, please consider submitting a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles instead of creating articles that contain no information. --Allen3 talk 23:53, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Newmedal.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Frankfurt onbullshit.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Last month I updated the Gaelic placenames in Canada section on the Canadian Gaelic page. These names were taken from a site I used to maintain some years ago and had typos and dated information. The new list provided came from the official placenames list, which I compiled on behalf of the Gaelic Council of Nova Scotia, as well as older sources (re. names outside of the province). Why did you remove these?

[edit] Speedy deletion of Template:User York University
A tag has been placed on Template:User York University requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).
