Muñeca Brava (literal translation Mad Doll, international recognized English title - Wild Angel)[4] is an award-winning Argentine telenovela, produced by Telefe in 1998 - 1999. The television series was broadcast in more than 80 countries over the world,[5][6][7]enjoying high ratings.[8][9][10]

The show was written by Enrique Oscar Torres and directed by Hernán Abrahamnsohn, Gaita Aragona and Víctor Stella[11][12] First episode was aired in Argentina on 10 October 1998 on channel Telefe[13][14] The play was filmed mainly in Argentina (Buenos Aires). Some of the episodes were filmed in Italy and Spain[15].The programme is known for launching the international career of Natalia Oreiro.

Muñeca Brava is a funny, melodramatic and romantic story of a girl called Milagros (literally "miracles"). Her mother died when giving birth to her. Having no father, she was raised in a monastery with other orphans. She dresses like a boy and is crazy about soccer, kicking other team's players' legs to score a goal. The priest of the parish, father Manuel, calls her "Cholito", after a well-known Argentine player of the 60's. Milagros turns 18 and she cannot stay at the convent anymore. She must leave her friends, find a job, and start a new life. There is an opportunity. Father Manuel finds for her work as a maid in a big mansion, Solitude, owned by the powerful Di Carlos family[16].

  • Natalia Oreiro as Milagros 'Millie' "Cholito"/"Carlitos" - an orphaned girl who hates his unknown father. She is rebellious, spontaneous, impulsive but she is also kind-hearted, emotional and sentimental. She is a maid in Di Carlo's house.
  • Facundo Arana as Ivo Di Carlo Rapallo - son of Federico and Luisa, a rich boy who is accustomed to having many women who do not resist him. He is intrigued by Milagros who often argues with him. When they get know each other step by step both fall in love.
  • Fernanda Mistral as Luisa Rapallo de Di Carlo - wife of Federico, middle-aged unfulfilled, who married Federico to save her honour. Her marriage is a farce.
  • Arturo Maly as Federico Di Carlo - husband of Luisa, who married her to keep the economical and social leadership of his family after going bankrupt.
  • Verónica Vieyra as Victoria 'Vicky' Di Carlo Rapallo - daughter of Federico and Luisa, a spoiled young lady, looking down on maids especially Milagros. Victoria is admired by Ivo's friend Bobby.
  • Lydia Lamaison as doña Angélica de Di Carlo, mother of Federico, grandmother of Ivo and Victoria. Angelica cannot forgive her son Federico that when he was young he didn't marry a young maid Rosario who love. When Milagros starts her work as a maid in Di Carlo's house, Angelica gets along with her immediately.
  • Norberto Díaz as Damián Rapallo - brother of Luisa, ladies' man, cheat, not liked by Federico who hardly tolerates him.
  • Segundo Cernadas as Pablo Rapallo - disabled son of Damián. Pablo blames his father for his disablement and death of his girlfried in the car crash.
