Mrs. Butterworth's

Mrs. Butterworth's is a brand of pre-packaged syrups and pancake mixes owned by Pinnacle Foods. The syrups come in distinctive bottles shaped in the form of a matronly female, Mrs. Butterworth. The bottle design is sometimes derided as a Mammy stereotype,[citation needed] similar to controversy which has surrounded the original Aunt Jemima image.
In the television commercials, the bottle comes to life and talks (originally in stop-motion animation; CGI is used today). One of the main voices for the bottle was Mary Kay Bergman.[1] Actress Kim Fields appeared in ads alongside the Mrs. Butterworth bottle character in the late 1970s.
The packages are now mostly plastic, but were originally glass.
Pinnacle Foods also produces Log Cabin Syrup.
In 2008, the Mrs. Butterworth talking syrup bottle was featured as a guest celebrity in one of a series of commercials for Geico car insurance.
