[edit] Business

Mr. Wormwood works as a car salesman. He is part of a band of crooks in his business. He is also trying to get Michael into joining this crook band when he reaches maturity.

An example of a particular day at his business includes buying a car for 118 pounds and selling it for 760 pounds, such that on one day, he made 4303 pounds and 50 pence.

[edit] Personality

Mr. Wormwood does not have a very good personality. He works with crooks, he hates books, he hates Matilda, is greedy and likes Michael. With Matilda, his abuse has been ripping out pages out of books, calling her names, and forcing her to watch television. He seems to be quite happy with his crook band business.

[edit] Tricks played on him by Matilda

Matilda has played numerous tricks on Mr. Wormwood. First, he put on a hat with superglue on it and had to have it cut off the next day by Mrs. Wormwood. Next, she stuck Fred's parrot, Chopper, up the chimney, which scared Mr. Wormwood so much that it made him turn gray in the face. Finally, she caused him to platinum blond hair dye on his hair instead of his Oil of Violets Hair Tonic.

[edit] Description

Mr. Wormwood is described as being a "small ratty looking man" with buck teeth by Roald Dahl. He is also described as continuously wearing loud checkered shirts with yellow or green ties.
