Mr. Bucket was a children's game published by Milton Bradley, and released circa 1992 which has since been discontinued and re-released in 2007. The game featured a plastic, motorized bucket (Mr. Bucket) which spat out differently colored balls; the player used a plastic shovel to scoop up the balls and place them back inside Mr. Bucket.

[edit] Gameplay
Blue, green, yellow, and red plastic balls are scattered around the floor, and players each choose a shovel that corresponds to the ball color they will attempt to collect. Once Mr. Bucket is turned on, players scoop up the balls that match their shovel and drop them into the top of Mr. Bucket. While players are collecting, Mr. Bucket will spit the balls that have been placed inside him out of his mouth at regular intervals. The winner is the first player with all four of their balls in Mr. Bucket at the same time.
[edit] Awards
Occupational Therapy Associates, one of the nation’s leading clinics in the treatment for sensory problems, included "Mr. Bucket" in 2005's list of toys that will help with hand eye coordination.[citation needed]
[edit] Replacement and care
Replacement parts for this discontinued item are available through Hasbro.[citation needed] As of 2006 twelve replacement balls cost 3.00 USD. This game should be under adult supervision at all times as stated in the instructional booklet included in Mr. Bucket.
[edit] Television advertisement controversy
The television advertisement, targeted toward children, caused some alarm among parents. While watching television the children would be watching a group of children playing Mr. Bucket. However adults that may not have been watching but instead only listening to the advertisement would hear the lyrics, "I'm Mr. Bucket push your balls in my top. I'm Mr. Bucket, out of my mouth they will pop..." Subsequently, the announcer followed the lyrics with the explanation, "The game's Mr. Bucket. The first to get their balls into Mr. Bucket wins! But look out! Because, the balls will pop out of his mouth!"
