Mr. Asia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Mr. Asia" is the name given to a drug dealing syndicate which operated in New Zealand, Australia and Britain between 1975 and 1979. The name was coined by the Auckland Star newspaper in a series of articles in August 1978.
The syndicate was headed by a New Zealander based in Singapore, Marty Johnstone. In October 1979, Johnstone was murdered by other syndicate members, including former best friend Terry Clark. The perpetrators were later convicted of his murder and served long prison sentences.
