Moscow Pride

Moscow Pride is an annual LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered) pride event in Moscow, Russia. The 2006, 2007 and 2008 events have all been marred by anti-gay violence and were refused authorisation by the Moscow City Hall, headed by Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.

The 2007 Moscow Pride was held on May 28. Its press conference and protest in front of the City Hall was attended by several high-profile supporters, including Marco Cappato, Vladimir Luxuria, Peter Tatchell, Volker Beck and the pop duo t.A.T.u..

The 2008 Moscow Pride was held on June 1.
