Moschino
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Moschino is a part of the Aeffe fashion group and a design house and manufacturer of women's, men's and children's fashion. It was originally created in 1983 by the late Franco Moschino, and is well known for its "classico con twist", (classical with a twist) style. The current head of design, Rossella Jardini, has successfully taken Franco's humour and style and made it relevant to today. The look of Moschino garments is often referred to as classical, whimsical, and sexy, and unique styles usually filled with a dash of humour.
Moschino designed the dresses modeled after the Turin mountains for the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino. [1] Moschino also designed outfits for Kylie Minogue's 2005 Showgirl - The Greatest Hits Tour. [2]
[edit] Labels
The brand consists of many labels. The three women's labels are 'Moschino Main Line' and 'Moschino Cheap & Chic' and 'Moschino Jeans', in order of exclusivity. There are also two menswear collections: 'Moschino' and 'Moschino Jeans'.
As of the autumn/winter 2008 collection, 'Moschino Jeans' will now be known as 'Love Moschino'.
