I'm a student in Western Australia, and I'm studying nanotechnology. I am regarded by most of my friends as either 'weird' or 'completely insane'. I think I'm both. I love reptiles in general and snakes in particular, although I'm also a fan of both dragons and dinosaurs. I enjoy reading almost anything I can get my hands on, roleplaying both on discussion boards and dice rolling games. A do a little writing and sketching and I'm trying to write a novel in what little time is not chewed up by classes and homework. Oh, and I'm female.

I got lured onto wikipedia because a friend on a discussion board kept posting to it during our 'debates'. I initially joined so I could correct any random typos I stumbled across. Now I'm very slowly branching out into more solid contributions, and have even written an article myself. It may not be very good, but I'm still pleased with it.

Most of my learning on wikipedia is by finding something interesting and looking at the 'code' of the page via the editting screen to try and work out how it was done. The tutorials were a decent start, but eventually they just started confusing me. I'm an investigative learner. This are my current goals of things to work out how to do.
I'd like to learn how to add articles to the little bars down the bottom of pages or in the sidebars. It's probably blindingly obvious once you know how, but I'm still in the dark.Accomplished. Just edit the template. ^_^I'd like to learn how people make multiple levels to their user page.Scratch that- I'd like to work out how they get such fancy userpages to start with!It would be nice to get to the point where I don't have to keep looking up how to do italics and bolding. I always seem to get them backwards.I think I mostly have it.- I need to work out how and when to do the little citing links. I'd like to add the websites I get any info from or what books I refered to. I'm sure this must be in the tutorials somewhere, I'm just having a little trouble finding it. More to the point, I'm not sure when to use them. Is it only for proper scientific journals or does a well written fan site warrent it?

I'm working on adding some of the Dungeons & Dragons prestige classes, if only because most of them aren't very well covered and because they've always fascinated me.
I'm also working on the Elder Scrolls articles, because the game Morrowind has me completely hooked. And because I'm on a few brilliant message boards about the Elder Scrolls universe, which is a big help when filling in gaps.

User:Morgrim/Template- The DnD character class template is way too long. I'm fiddling around with a separate template for the prestige classes to be used instead. I have no idea who I should run it past before attempting to use it though. I might have to 'be bold', change the lot and hope I don't start an edit war. Please leave me any comments you might have about this, either on my talk page or even here.
