While at writing the copyright status of this image has not yet been verified, it is believed that use of this image in the article on Morton Downey qualifies for "fair use" under US law. 1) The photograph identifies the person discussed in the article. No free licensed image of the person has been located, and as the person is deceased, no new image of them can be created. 2)Image used is a from a sheet music cover, only a small portion of which is used, at low resolution, and hence in no way competes with the original publication nor the publisher's right to profit from their publication.
