Monte Grande (Portuguese meaning large mountain, Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: Monti Grandi), is a village located approximately 6 km east of the island capital of Sao Filipe and southwest of Mosteiros in the island of Fogo, Cape Verde. Monte Grande are is linked with the main road linking with São Filipe and Cova Figueira and another connecting Patim.

The area around Monte Grande contains farmlands in the central and the southern and western portions, the Chã das Caldeiras lies to the northeast, the Atlantic Ocean can be seen to the south and west. The living standards are in the low range as well as its income, one time, there were no money until the late-20th century. The village is in the island's middle class class. A part of the houses are built with concrete, the rest are built with stone and mud. Much its population are farmers and are based in agriculture where banana plantations, pineapple and other crops are common. However, a part of the needy materials comes from the island capital, the island capital and the diaspora. But for other needs, electricity, communications and appliances are partially available in the area as well as phone lines since the mid to late-20th century. A part of the necessities also comes from the island capital.
