Montcalm (provincial electoral district)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Montcalm was a provincial electoral district in the province of Quebec, Canada. Located in the Lanaudière region, Montcalm was formed in 1867 before being merged with Joliette in 1972 to form Joliette-Montcalm.
Montcalm was named in honour of Louis-Joseph de Montcalm, a French general who've led the battle of Quebec City in 1759 against the English troops led by James Wolfe in 1759.
