But this is not a Mobius band. The two edges are colored red and green! -- Dominus 13:36, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Description
A w:Hopf link spanned by an annulus.
[edit] Original description
Möbius strip, created with povray
Unfortunately, this is not a picture of a Möbius strip. Notice that the two edges are colored red and green. A Möbius strip has only one edge. -- Dominus 13:39, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, Dominus is wrong, a Möbius strip has only one side. It's a example of a non-orientable surface. A surface has to have at least two edges. --bhgic
Dominus is right. The surface is orientable, it is homeomorphic to an annulus. It is not a Möbius strip :-) Ylebru 08:35, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
