Mirando City Independent School District

Mirando City Independent School District was a school district located in unincorporated Webb County, Texas, United States. The district consisted of one school named Mirando Elementary School.
Mirando ISD was established in March 1923 [1].
Mirando High School closed after spring 1994. From fall 1994 to the district's closure in spring 2005, Mirando City ISD served grades Kindergarten through 8 in the unincorporated community of Mirando City, while high schoolers attended Bruni High School in the Webb Consolidated Independent School District.
On May 9, 2005 [2] [3], the Texas Education Agency ordered MCISD to be consolidated into Webb CISD, effective July 1, 2005. As of 2006, all residents of what was MCISD now attend school in the Webb CISD; Pupils formerly in Mirando Elementary School attended Bruni Middle School (Grades 6-8) and Oilton Elementary School (Grades K-5).
