Mili is a Bollywood movie directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and released in 1975. It starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Ashok Kumar. This is story about a girl who has a dreadful ailment, still she's ever lively and spreads happiness in everyones life. She becomes an inspiration to her new neighbour(Amitabh Bachan)who is a drunkard and always depressed. With her cheerful ways she changes Amitabh and he falls in love with her. She tries to avoid her because of her ailment but he insists and when he comes to know about her, he decides to spend his whole life with her. It was later remade in Telugu as the film Jyothi (1976) starring Jayasudha.[1]
