Mike Woods

Mike Woods (born January 28, 1968) is a meteorologist for Fox 5 WNYW in New York City. He reports the weather for their morning news program Good Day New York and the Fox 5 midday newscast.
Woods was born in Sacramento, California. He joined Fox 5 in June 2001, originally as the weekend meteorologist, but he took the morning position when Dave Price left the station to become the weatherman on The Early Show on CBS. Woods also occasionally serves as a feature reporter for WNYW. Woods' career began in the south at an affialate in Eastern North Carolina as the weatherman for the morning and noon shifts. During his career, he covered major weather events such as Hurricane Bertha and Hurricane Fran.
Woods attended college at the University of California at Davis and earned a degree in Rhetoric and Communications. While there, he also developed a strong background in meteorology. He currently holds a seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
Woods appeared on the television game show The Price is Right in 2001.[1]
