[edit] Professional

Randolph, who is versatile but usually a left fullback, was signed by the Galaxy from the Portland Timbers,[1] where he had played 25 matches in his rookie season and been considered as one of three finalists for the USL First Division "Rookie of the Year" honor.[2]

Randolph made his Galaxy debut April 13, 2007 as a substitute against FC Dallas.

In 2007, he was in the 18-man roster for the first time in his career, but did not play the 0-0 draw @ Houston Dynamo on 4/8. He made his Galaxy and MLS debut, playing the final nine minutes after replacing Nathan Sturgis in the 81st minute of the 2-1 loss vs. FC Dallas on 4/12. He made his first-ever start in a Galaxy uniform, playing all 90 minutes at left back in the Galaxy's 1-0 win @ Colombus Crew in the U.S. Open Cup Play-In game on 4/24. He had a goal and two assists in the Galaxy's 3-1 exhibition win over the Southern California Seahorses (PDL) on 5/2. Mike started and played the opening 63 minutes of the 1-0 loss vs. Rangers on 5/23. He made the longest appearance of his MLS career on 6/2 vs. DC United, playing the final 20 minutes after replacing the injured Ian Russell in the 70th minute. He was shown his first career yellow card in the 81st minute of this game. He Registered his first MLS start in the 1-0 loss against New England Revolution on 8/12. He was shown his second yellow card of the year in the 2-1 loss vs. Real Salt Lake on 9/1. He made his 10th appearance of the year in the 3-0 loss @ Chivas USA on 9/13. He Picked up his third caution of the year on 9/16 vs. Houston Dynamo.

[edit] Amateur

Prior to his emergence in Portland, he played for Yavapai College in Arizona, where he was named the ACCAC player of the year.[2] Randolph had been recruited at UCLA but did not meet academic requirements at the time.

In 2005, he finished his career at Yavapai College in Prescott Ariz., helping his team to a 24-2 record and a berth in the NJCAA National Championship. However, in the Final, the Roughriders lost 3-1 to Georgia Perimeter College, denying Yavapai of its sixth National Championship.

In 2004, he helped the Roughriders to a 23-2 record and its 16th consecutive Arizona Community College Athletic Conference championship. Randolph, the 2004 ACCAC Player of the Year, helped Yavapai reach the National Semifinals but could not advance to the championship and defend the back-to-back titles the team had won in 2002 and 2003.

Randolph attended Canyon Hills Junior High, where he played basketball, and Ruben S. Ayala High School. He is said to be one of the best soccer players to ever attend Ayala High School.
