Michael Francis Burbidge

Bishop Michael F. Burbidge (born 16 June 1957) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. Burbidge currently serves as Bishop of the Diocese of Raleigh.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bishop Burbidge was ordained to the priesthood on 19 May 1984. In 2002, Pope John Paul II named Burbidge auxiliary bishop of Philadelphia and titular bishop of Cluain Iraird.
On 8 June 2006 Pope Benedict XVI appointed Bishop Burbidge to succeed Bishop Gossman as head of the Diocese of Raleigh.
