The Merrion Centre in Dublin, Ireland is a shopping centre situated at the north junction of Nutley Lane with Merrion Road. It serves the community of Dublin 4. It is anchored by the Tesco supermarket and the Japanese embassy is located in the centre.
The Centre was once home to one of the last remaining Quinnsworth stores owned by Peter Quinn of Nutley Lane. In the late 1990s, the centre underwent a huge renovation and opened its own Tesco Ireland store owned by Ed Aboud.
This area has long been the site of local flooding as is surounding area Sandymount by the Grand Canal Dock. A free underground car park is provided, with about a Quarter the spaces reserved for workers in the offices also located in the building plus a workers smokeing are named kickey by the workers.
The Tony Walsh pharmacy was used in the 2003 movie Intermission, but filmed to look as if it were outdoors.
You also will find character of the famous INK crew of the South Side Dublin Daz O'M ,Jay to the C,fifi el coolieo and stui around the area.
The Merrion Center is a Family based center with common shops as Paul's "The Nutley" and Big bernards "Merrion Hardware" and the big welcoming smile from the fine security Cathal "big red" Cummins and Stephen Moyles nephew of Chris Moyles
