Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Championship
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Championship is an annual golf tournament for professional women golfers on the FUTURES Tour, the LPGA's developmental tour. The event has been a part of the FUTURES Tour's schedule since 2007. It takes place at Leawood South Country Club in Leawood, Kansas.
The title sponsor is Mercedes-Benz, a German brand name of automobiles, buses, coaches, and trucks.
The Tournament is a 54-hole event, as are most FUTURES Tour tournaments, and includes pre-tournament pro-am opportunities, in which local amateur golfers can play with the professional golfers from the Tour as a benefit for local charities. The benefiting charity for the Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Championship is the National Kidney Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri.
