Mendark - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mendark

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mendark was a fictional character in Ian Irvine's The View from the Mirror quartet.

[edit] Characteristics

Mendark was a slim man, of average height. He wore his brown hair long and had a handsome face. His nose was broad and proud and his blue eyes, able to turn as cold and hard as ice. Mendark often wore scarlet and blue robes; the colours of the Magister. After using the rejuvination spell at Havissard, Mendark began to resemble nothing so much as a bird of prey. His once proud nose looked akin to a beak, while his back was haunched and his hands hooked like talons. This was humiliating for Mendark, who was obsessed with what the Histories would portray him as.

An intelligent man, whose grip of the Secret Art cemented him as one of the most powerful mancers of all, Mendark was extremely sly and never missed an opportunity to further his own goals. Having rejuvenated his body so many times, Mendark was 1260 years old and had gathered himself an immense amount of wealth. Wealth that he was extremely fierce in protecting. Despite his apparent corruption, Mendark truly did care for Santhenar.
