Melodye Prentiss (nee Panchesin, born 14 December 1944 in Chicago, Illinois) was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its July 1968 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Pompeo Posar.
She's the first Playmate who showed a slight glimpse of pubic hair on her centerfold, although it would not be until January 1971, when Liv Lindeland was the first Playmate to have clearly visible pubic hair in her pictorial.
Melodye was working in the Playboy editorial library when she was "discovered" by the magazine as Playmate material. She studied fine art and painting at both the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Chicago.
