Medon

In Greek mythology, there were three people called Medon (Greek: Μέδωνας)
- An Ithacan herald who was polite towards Penelope when all of her suitors were rude. He was spared by Odysseus, who killed the rest of the suitors.
- Stepbrother of Ajax the Lesser and son of Oileus, king of Locris. In the Trojan War, he took over Philoctetes' army after Philoctetes was bit by a snake and left on Lemnos because the wound festered and smelled bad. Medon was killed by Aeneas. (Iliad II, 727; XV, 332)
- Medon, the son of Codrus, was the first archon of Athens.
There is also a Centaur named Medon, killed during the combat with the Lapiths.
