The Medal of Valor is a type of medal given to honor military or public safety personnel who have served with gallantry. The Medal of Valor may refer to the:

• Maryland Medal for Valor, awarded to members of the Maryland National Guard in recognition of acts of personal heroism.
• Medal for Valor, the highest military medal that could be awarded to a soldier of the Soviet Union for bravery on the field of battle. It was retained by the Russian Federation after the demise of the USSR.
• Medal of Valor, an Israeli Military decoration, instituted by the Law of Decorations in the Israel Defense Forces of 1970.
• New York City Police Department Medal for Valor, conferred upon NYC police officers for acts of outstanding personal bravery.
