MC Pollack is the author of the soft science fiction epic trilogy, "The Rings of Time," a story about a young man who discovers an invisible spaceship that can control time. As of Dec 2007, only the first installment of the novel is available.
MC Pollack was born and raised in Albany, New York. He received a public school education in the city schools and spent his freshman year of college abroad in the Middle East. He returned to Albany after spending several months in Europe, and went on to earn bachelors and masters degrees. After graduating college he moved to New York City, where he’s been ever since. Before attending graduate school, he took a year off and worked as a researcher for a publishing company. During the summer before attending graduate school, he drove a taxicab in Manhattan. While writing his thesis for his Masters Degree, he took a full time position as a researcher for a litigation support firm. After he finished his master’s thesis and was awarded his degree, he took a position as a consultant with a technology recruitment firm. During the course of some fifteen years, he’s worked for four firms doing just that – recruiting the right personnel for the job. During his time in the business, he’s interviewed thousands of people, and has facilitated the hiring of hundreds.
Pollack claims that a couple of years back, after a particularly stressful week, he took a long walk in the woods, sat down for a rest and fell asleep. It was an extended nap that lasted well into the night. He dreamed a great deal and was lucky enough to remember most of it. "The Rings of Time," is the product of his long and restful sleep.
