Mayfield, Edinburgh

Mayfield is a middle class suburb of south Edinburgh, Scotland, not far from Newington. Confusingly, there are also streets containing the name Mayfield in Corstorphine and nearby Musselburgh, East Lothian. There is also a separate town called Mayfield in Midlothian, whose main bus links into Edinburgh pass through this Mayfield.
The area is mainly residential, and dominated by a large number of small hotels, and bed and breakfast places. There is a Chinese restaurant, a library and a bakery also.The centre is probably the intersection of West Mayfield and Mayfield Road which is dominated by Mayfield Salisbury church.
