Scan of a photograph of Max I. Silber. Taken from http://www.scoutingmuseum.org/page1.htm. The original photograph was taken for Max to use in his personal correspondence. (Generally he would autograph these photographs as he has in this example.) He would send his correspondence via the Max I. Silber Library in Manchester, NH. This photo is not under copyright.
The photograph is one of the few photographs of Max that are not under copyright to newspapers or media outlets. There would be no other free alternatives as other sources would be copyrighted to specific media sources.
