Maurice Starr (b. 1953) is a Boston-based musician, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his role in the careers of New Edition and New Kids on the Block.[1] He is considered to be the creator of the boy band scene from the 80's, which the term was not used until the 90's.
Maurice had stopped working with New Kids after the group decided to end the relationship. He is currently managing, producing and writing for HeartBeat Boys, an independent boy band.
