The Maui Nui ʻAlauahio or "Maui Creeper" (Paroreomyza montana) is a species of Hawaiian honeycreeper in the Fringillidae family. It is also often called Maui ʻAlauahio, but it was not endemic to the island of Maui but rather seems to have occurred on most if not all parts of the ancient Maui Nui. It is found only in Hawaiʻi. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, dry savanna, subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland, and plantations . It is threatened by habitat loss.
