Mathieu Racette is a high-school junior from Edmond North High School in Edmond, Oklahoma.

He also studies different languages, such as Spanish and Serbian.

Born August 25, 1991 in La Habra, California, Justin-Mathieu Racette moved to Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, because of the Los Angeles Race Riots of 1992. After spending two years in Burnaby, Mathieu and his family moved to Sultan, Washington. Mathieu spent his toddlerhood up to fourth-grade in Sultan, after which he moved to Linda Vista, San Diego, California. In Linda Vista, Mathieu became actively involved in Swimming and Karate, and one year later his family moved to Poway, California. In Poway he kept his involvement in swimming, swimming for the YMCA as his middle school did not have a swim team.

When Mathieu reached the age of 12, his family moved to the Midwest and settled in Edmond, Oklahoma. In Edmond he continued his involvement in swimming, continuing to swim for the YMCA. In high school, Mathieu joined his school's Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) as a freshman.

Currently, Mathieu swims for his school's state-champion swim team, and is an Flight Commander and an Unarmed Exhibition Drill Team Commander at his school's AFJROTC Group. His rank is Cadet Captain (C/Capt).
