[edit] Updates on leg injury

According to head coach Toni Giger Lanzinger was flown by a tourist helicopter, where one bench had to be removed[1][2]. There was no ambulance helicopter. And here in Austria it is not definitely public, that the leg had to be amputated, though the doctors seem to have no more hope for his leg. On Lanzingers website is a news entry from today, where they still talk about trying to save his leg. The announcement has just been released[3].

I will correct the article with respect to the type of helicopter. He was, I believe, in any case transported from Lillehammer to Oslo in an ambulance helicopter. All the major Norwegian newspapers' online editions presently (Tuesday morning) write that the doctors have failed to restore circulation in Lanzinger's left leg and are preparing to amputate. None of the three largest have yet written that the amputation has already taken place.[1][2][3]

[edit] Dr. Hölzenbein

Coincidentally, Dr. Thomas Hölzenbein's last name translates to "Wooden Leg." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Matt Yohe (talkcontribs) 16:54, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
