[edit] i don't understand

Why isn't there no one talking about them?! these 2 guys are the music, they are the link between experi(-concrete)mental music. They both teach art and read Deleuze what else is needed? The music? you didn't like "the civil war"? YOU FOOLS

Perhaps the quality of article has prevented discussion, since discussion is usually about what's wrong with an article. Do you see anything wrong with the article? Hyacinth 13:52, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
It could definitely use some notes about their bizarre creative process.24.165.210.213 00:12, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
It probably also needs some discussion of the sexual politics of some of their work. User:sjc 11:29, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Recent album

I added the title of the most recent album. -- Jamiem

[edit] Reference: - Don't Sweat The Technics

I don't understand why this is linked as a reference - enlighten me someone? Witchwooder 13:57, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

The album contains a track titled, "Matmos are the A-Team of Eletronica". Hyacinth (talk) 20:45, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Review Suggestion

As an editor at Crawdaddy!, and to comply with COI guidelines, I am not posting the link to this review. However, I would like to recommend it on its merits, and hope that an editor will find the time to examine the review and—if he or she sees fit—post it as an external link, or, if/when a Supreme Balloon page is created, to the professional reviews section. I appreciate your time. Crawdaddy! (favorable) 2008

[edit] Removed: "Rubbish"

  • In their recordings and live performances over the last nine years, Matmos have used the sounds of: amplified crayfish nerve tissue, the pages of bibles turning, a bowed five string banjo, slowed down whistles and kisses, water hitting copper plates, the runout groove of a vinyl record, a $5.00 electric guitar, liposuction surgery, cameras and VCRs, chin implant surgery, contact microphones on human hair, rat cages, tanks of helium, human skulls, violins, violas, cellos, peck horns, tubas, cards shuffling, field recordings of conversations in hot tubs, frequency response tests for defective hearing aids, a steel guitar recorded in a sewer, electrical interference generated by laser eye surgery, whoopee cushions and balloons, latex fetish clothing, rhinestones on a dinner plate, Polish trains, insects, ukulele, aspirin tablets hitting a drum kit from across the room, dogs barking, people reading aloud, life support systems and inflatable blankets, records chosen by the roll of dice, an acupuncture point detector conducting electrical current through human skin, rock salt crunching underfoot, solid gold coins spinning on bars of solid silver, the sound of a frozen stream thawing in the sun, semen hitting paper, a five gallon bucket of oatmeal and the vagina, uterus, and reproductive tract of a cow, among other things. This could be the reason Kid606 has called them "the A-Team of Electronica,"[1] or else the latter's homo-erotic overtones.

Why is the above rubbish? Hyacinth (talk) 20:43, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
