Mattias Asper

Mattias Asper (born March 20, 1974 in Sölvesborg) is a Swedish football goalkeeper currently playing for the Swedish club Mjällby AIF. He has played 2 international matches for the Sweden national team, and was a squad player for the Euro 2000.
He was a regular for Mjällby AIF for four years before joining Allsvenskan team AIK in 1998. His performances attracted interest from Real Sociedad, who bought him for the 2000/01 season. However, he was not a success there, and eventually returned to Sweden and Malmö FF in 2002.
Asper has won the Swedish championship 2 times with AIK in 1999 and Malmö FF in 2004. On July 2, 2007, it was announced that Asper has signed a club with Swedish top-tier team Brommapojkarna. On the 28 of november it was announced that Asper has signed a contract with his old club Mjällby AIF.[1]

Mattias became a minor celebrity within the reaches of the Championship Manager community due to how well he was respresented within the game.[1] He joined the likes of Kennedy Bakircioglü and Mads Jorgenson as one of many unknown stars that became routine purchases.
