Matthew Dennis Beech (born 11 March, 1987) is an English Illusionist and mind-reader. He was born in Manchester, England and was educated at Shrewsbury School where he began his ambitious pursuit into magic. He later studied philosophy at Birmingham University with a further year at the University of Nottingham. He currently resides in Leamington Spa, where he has taken time off to write new material for a new mind-reading act before flying to Hollywood to film a 6-Part mind-reading series.
The 21 year old became interested in magic when he was 14 buying a book of card tricks from waterstones to pass the time after missing a bus home. In 2005 he beat of competition from 14 other competitors to become one of just 6 to go to the final of the Young Magic Circle Junior Day Stage competition. He came third but "proved that Derren Brown isn't the only mind controller out there"[1].
