Mary Nighy (born July 17, 1984) is an English actress and director.
Nighy was named one of the UK film council's breakthrough Brits in 2005. Her performance as the Franco-Italian courtier Marie-Louise, princesse de Lamballe in the 2006 film Marie Antoinette won her critical praise[citation needed].

Nighy is director of Foster Films. She has directed short films including Lulu, and directed Lyre at the High Tide Festival in Spring 2007.
Nighy has completed filming her second short film, Player, which she co-produced with Barrington Paul-Robinson and Iona Ramsay from a script by Sam Hodges (who also wrote Lyre). Player stars Pete Postlethwaite and Celia Imrie.

Nighy was born in London, England and is the daughter of Bill Nighy and Diana Quick. She was educated at the City of London School for Girls. Nighy graduated with First-Class Honours in English from University College London in 2006. She is a former member of the National Youth Theatre.
