Marko Milič (born May 7, 1977, in Kranj, Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Slovenian professional basketball player. Milic (6'6", 235 lbs), who is very athletic, plays both the forward and guard position.
After being selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1997 NBA Draft (34th overall), Milic's rights were traded to the Phoenix Suns, without having represented the Pennsylvania franchise. After seeing limited duty (44 career games) during his two seasons with the Suns, he returned to Europe and played for Union Olimpija (where he started playing senior basketball, now serving his third stint), Real Madrid (two stints), Fortitudo Bologna (Serie A runner-up), Pesaro (2004 Italian cup finalist) and Virtus Bologna. He also represented Fenerbahçe in the first part of 1998-99, due to the NBA season's lockout, returning to Arizona in January 1999.
Milič's father, Vladimir, was a shot putting champion in the former Yugoslavia. His mother, Metka Papler, is a former successful sportswoman of the same origin.
