Mark Stuart (musician)

Mark Alan Stuart (born April 14, 1968 in Owensboro, Kentucky) is a Christian rock musician, and is best known for being the vocalist for the now-retired Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline. His parents are both missionaries in Haiti. Stuart met the original guitarist and bassist for Audio A, Barry Blair & Will McGinniss, while attending Kentucky Christian College (now known as Kentucky Christian University). Barry Blair was Mark's roommate for three years. He founded the band with them and Bob Herdman and they released their first album, Audio Adrenaline, in 1992.
At Kentucky Christian, Mark obtained a degree in Secondary Education for Science and Math. Mark says "I can teach physics, calculus, and chemistry." Originally, he was planning to pursue his goal of becoming an aeronautical engineer.
Mark's favorite movie is "Jaws".
Mark has an older brother Dave, and a younger sister Kelly. His father Drex, who is married to Jo, is an ordained minister. When Mark was younger, both Drex and Jo spent four years in Haiti as missionaries. Returning to Haiti in 2004, they are currently full-time missionaries at the Hands and Feet Project in Cyvadier.
In January 2006, Audio Adrenaline announced that they were retiring. The primary reason cited was Stuart's "ongoing vocal challenges" stemming from vocal cord damage after years of performing.[1]

Mark Stuart was producer for two time Grammy Nominated and now Platinum selling artist singer/songwriter Jennifer Knapp's hit album Kansas, and co-produced her first Grammy nominated album Lay It Down with Knapp.
In the rock opera !Hero, Mark starred as Petrov, a character based on the apostle Peter. He starred alongside such notables as Michael Tait, T-Bone and Rebecca St. James.
- In 2006, Mark was one of the executive Producers for the Fireflight debut album The Healing of Harms.
- In February, 2007, Mark was married to Aegis from Pennsylvania. They now live in Franklin, TN.
