Mark Gower (born October 5, 1978, Edmonton, London) is an English footballer currently playing for Southend United. He joined Southend from Barnet in the summer of 2003 for a fee of £25,000.
Gower began his career at Tottenham Hotspur where he was a member of League Cup winning squad of 1998/99. He had a spell on loan at Motherwell before joining Barnet in January 2001 for £32,500.
A midfielder, he is predominantly right-footed but can play on either flank. He celebrated promotion to the Football League Championship at Swansea City's Liberty Stadium on 29 April 2006 by stripping down to his underpants.
Gower played for England schoolboys through to the under 18 team from the age of 14.
In June 2008, he is being linked with a move to newly promoted Swansea City after his current deal with Southend expires.
