Mari Kimura is a Japanese violinist accredited with the discovery of violin subharmonics (Subharmonics.), which allow a violinist to play a full octave below the low G on the violin without retuning the instrument. She is also the creator of the GuitarBotana, a cross between a violin and a GuitarBot.
