Margarita Khromova-Ponomaryova (born June 19, 1963 in Balkhash) is a retired hurdler from Russia, best known for setting the world record in the women's 400 metres hurdles in 1984.
She won the bronze medal in the women's 400m hurdles event at the 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany. Born in Kazakhstan she represented the Unified Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
