Marc Mallett

Marc Mallett is a Northern Irish broadcaster and journalist. He is presently a newsreader, reporter and continuity announcer at UTV.
Marc joined CityBeat as a newsreader and part-time presenter in 1999. He was the news editor at the station from 2003 to 2007. In 2004, Marc was announced as the main anchor of Belfast Tonight, CityBeat's flagship evening news programme, which replaced Stephen Nolan's show on the station following his move to BBC Radio Ulster. Marc's co-presenters on Belfast Tonight included Joanne Steen (later with U105), Kirsteen O'Sullivan (now with GMTV Northern Ireland), Sara Moore and Trudy Smyth.
In 2007 Marc was the recipient of the Radio News Broadcaster of the Year at the CIPR Press and Broadcast Awards.[1] He received a finalist's certificate in the category of Best News Anchor/Reporter (Local) at the New York Festivals Radio Broadcasting Awards, where Belfast Tonight also received a Bronze World Medal in the category of Best News Magazine.[2]
Marc left CityBeat in 2007 to join UTV. As well as reporting for UTV Life, UTV Live and U105[3], he also works as a continuity announcer, occasionally presenting in-vision continuity links.[4] Marc also contributed to the 2008 series of Late and Live.[5]
