Marc Behm

Marc Behm (b. 12 January 1925, Trenton, New Jersey - d. 12 July 2007, Fort-Mahon-Plage, France) was an American expatriate writer in France. He had successful careers as a film scriptwriter (his credits include Charade and Help!) and as an author.
Serving in the US Army during World War II, Marc Behm had extensive exposure to the French language and culture. He took roles in many television programs and shows on French television. His novels include the classic private-eye novel The Eye of the Beholder, which is a literary siamese twin to his later novel Afraid to Death. (In Beholder, the male protagonist obsessively stalks a female serial-killer for many years. In Afraid, a female serial-killer stalks the novel's male protagonist for many years.)
