This page is most likely either a vanity piece or a near-vanity piece. Either way it doesn't belong on Wikipedia, except possibly in a 'notable warcraft players' article among a number of others.

Actually, it seems perfectly feasible for the Electronic sports players category to me. --Charron 20:26, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
Why such an extensive article on only 1 warcraft 3 player, when no other articles exist on any other players? I would suggest creating an article which mentions several notable players and link it to the game warcraft 3 or electronic sports in general.
Grubby is probably the top professional Warcraft player in the world, which is of interest to gamers as a whole, not just Warcraft players. He should have a page for the same reason that Lim Yo-Hwan (SlayerS `Boxer'), Fatal1ty, and vo0 have pages. The comment about his "biting remarks", however, is both unnecessary and untrue. If anything he's known for his professional composure and as an emissary for the emerging world of E-Sports. In that same vein, his "lag" quote is unecessary and unprofessional, and not in line with the way he conducts himself publicly. The article could be cleaned up a bit but certainly belongs on Wikipedia. --Cesare

[edit] Why?

"Why an article on him and not the others? Because he's without a doubt the most successful and accomplished WC3 player in the world." Grubby is without a doubt the best European Warcraft 3 player, but if he has an article, Jang Jae Ho (Moon) also deserves one, because he is the best asian player and is more likely to be the best player of the world than Grubby. http://www.wcreplays.com/articles.php?get=347

I wouldn't have a problem with a page for Spirit_Moon, although 4k.Grubby is considered to be the best player in the world by most people.

[edit] Oh, come on

Professional WarCraft player? I know it exists, but this ONE guy hardly deserves a page on wikipedia, especially when others dont get a page. If you're considering this like a sport (He's the best around!) then you need to list other players of the sport, even those that aren't that good. This, in my opinion, should certainly go through another vote for deletion.

As stated above by Cesare, other players have articles. This article exists for the same reason there are articles for Tiger Woods and Pete Sampras for instance. These are professional sportsmen. --Djith 09:23, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge Other Warcraft Player Articles?

There are atleast 2 other articles on Warcraft 3 players: They are linked as "Madfrog" and "Spirit_Moon".

The fact that others don't exist is no reason for this one not to exist. More work clearly needs to be done in the area. However, I agree at this point that due to the limited number of player articles, it would be best for the articles to be merged to form a page titled something like "Top Warcraft 3 Players".

[edit] Battle.net profiles

I changed "Flying Dutchman" to "MSChenkhuizen", because thats his recent ladder-account

[edit] get started why not?!

I dont know on which planet the authors or editors of this page/section live but Pro Gamersin wc3 are reality. GRubby, Moon , ToD, Sky They "deserve" a own wikipedia page as ur fellow americans current basball, basketballl , football players , wrestler have such! If not IMO it would be discrimination. I mean come on chris Benoit has a page (huge!) i can tell u for sure that if u look at the "world" population ( and the english wikipedia is du to its language not only bound to us and UK) more people know about grubby then about Chris Benoit! would be nice to see progamer coming up! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.162.203.127 (talk) 21:41, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

the problem with this is that everyone who wants it is a loser.

You're saying more people know about an internet game player (Who I'd actually be as bold to guarantee 99 out of 100 people don't know, or care to know), then a former world champion, and more importantly and notably, a man who murdered his family, got headline news, and started round 2 of the steroid wars? Yeah, I don't buy it. More importantly though, in all sports ALL players are listed, not just the important ones. Can you imagine the madness there'd be if Wikipedia had an article on every WC3 player? I strongly think this needs to be deleted, especially since the word "professional" indicates you get paid for the "sport" you play, which I'm under the impression this man does not. TheJudge310 (talk) 15:01, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
These players are seriously good at WC3. They deserve their own page because professional gaming should be respected. Whoever posted that "everyone who wants it is a loser" is an idiot.

-- user:RichardT

(replying to TheJudge310) Your impression is wrong. This man does get paid, as do many others. There are 47 tournaments listed in his wikipedia which were played all around the world, and those were just the ones considered notable enough to add, Warcraft III is a internet game but not 'just a internet game'. It is very much a sport. Can you imagine the madness if everyone who has ever touched a football gets added to wikipedia? Neither can I because it has not happened and will not happen.
