MANAS Journal

The MANAS Journal was a weekly philosophical magazine written, edited, and published between 1948 and 1988 by Henry Geiger.
The MANAS Journal was dedicated to the independent inquiry into the emerging ethical, humanist, and environmental ideas of the 20th century, and issues typically contained several short essays, crafted from a wide variety of sources, that reflected on the human condition. Many unreprinted gems can be found in the pages of MANAS and even some first publications of great works, such as Buddhist Economics, written by E. F. Schumacher.
The E. F. Schumacher Society has posted the complete library of MANAS articles on the Internet as a "record of 'intelligent idealism' in the past [that] can be relied upon for guidance, [so that] the courage of good men [and women] is not dampened by evil prospects, but rather increased[1].
