Majid Al Muhandis (Arabic:ماجد المهندس) is an Iraqi singer and composer.[1]

Born Majid Al Utaybi (Arabic:ماجد العتيبي), in Baghdad, he left Iraq thirteen years ago for Jordan where he worked in a clothing factory. He later studied engineering, where he earned his name "Al Muhandis", meaning engineer in Arabic. After leaving his position as an airline engineer to pursue his singing career, he is now one of Iraq's leading artists.[2]
