[edit] Locks

The description of the locks in this article is deceptive - it implies that the bridge is a closed system when it is not. The google maps link below shows how one of the locks connects to a tributary and is not on "the other end" of the river.

I do not know of the Rothensee Lock mentioned here either. There is a new Rothensee lock built to replace the Rothensee boat lift, on the Elbeabstiegskanal which connects the Mittelandkanal at the Western end of the Water bridge to the Elbe. It seems to me that the Rothensee lock in this article actually refers to the boat lift, unless there is another lock at Rothensee between the Mittelandkanal and the Water bridge which I don't know about and is not visible on Googleearth. [edit] Pic

The original pic, which has been flagged as a possible copyvio, has been replaced with one not nearly as good. In particular, the original showed it from the top with barge and pedestrian traffic visible. The replacement pic shows none of this and makes it look like any other bridge. So, if we can somehow get something more like the original pic, that would be a great improvement. Also note that the same pic swap occurred under bridge and water bridge. In case you are interested, I have a picture taken from above the bridge, showing the water both in the Canal, and in the Elbe underneath. The picture is here and licenced with a CC Attribution, Non-commercial, Share-Alike license. I would post myself here, but I have no idea on how to do this. 141.76.75.176 09:30, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

I've added a photo with a top view of the water bridge, unfortunatly it's not the best photo either. It's actually a rather difficult site to photograph well without using ladders or a helicopter. BenFranske 19:55, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

The original (nice) copyvio pic is back added by someone as few revisions back. I have added the photo to the potential copyvio page again to see what happens. --BenFranske 04:14, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
